JKUAT HEALTH WEEK 19th TO 24th October 2025
This week marked an inspiring milestone in advancing oral and general health awareness at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). The annual Health Week, officially opened on Tuesday by the Dean of Students, Prof. Wanjala, brought together various health practitioners, organizations, and student bodies with one shared goal — to promote holistic well-being among the university community.
Gem Smiles was honored to be part of this transformative initiative, providing essential oral health services including dental fillings, tooth whitening procedures, and scaling throughout the week. Our team had the privilege of attending to numerous students and staff, emphasizing the importance of preventive oral care and creating awareness on maintaining lifelong healthy smiles.
We are proud to share that the event concluded successfully today, Friday, leaving behind not just brighter smiles but also a stronger sense of community, service, and collaboration. Such impactful outreach reaffirms our commitment to ensuring accessible and quality oral health care for all.

Komarok South Medical Camp
The Komarock South Medical and Dental Camp was a meaningful community outreach organized by Gem Smiles Foundation with the aim of improving access to essential health services and promoting preventive care. Through this initiative, community members received dental screenings, oral health education, and basic medical services, helping to identify health concerns early and encourage healthier lifestyles.
The camp emphasized the importance of oral health as a key part of overall well-being, while also creating a supportive space where residents could learn, ask questions, and receive professional guidance. By bringing services directly to the community, Gem Smiles Foundation continues to bridge healthcare gaps and empower individuals and families with the knowledge and care needed to build healthier, brighter smiles.
